Fork on the Road

We walked from our place to Port Adelaide on the weekend for the Fork in the Road festival. I took some photos along the way. 

Looking Back at Japan: Kunozan Toshogu Shrine & Sumpu Dream Square

I have the mammoth task of sorting my hard drive of 10+ years of photos. The benefit of that is that I am finding photos I never knew I had and reliving all my favourite moments of Japan from 2006/2007. 

Kunozan Toshogu Shrine and Sumpu Dream Square are found in Nihondaira, Shizuoka Prefecture. I was fortunate enough to have a beautiful Japanese friend Ai who would organise trips for us and this was one of the places we visited for the day. You can read about the shrine here.

L is for Landscape

Today's prompt is 'landscape' and where there once were  huge paddocks across the road, luxury houses are filling the space.

Pretty excited!

Reading is today's inspiration and I am pretty excited by this one. I finally received the formal   loan documents for my first home. Best reading I did today =)

#6 Something Blue

10.30pm I was in bed and realised that I had not taken my photo that day. Part of the challenge for me is that I need to take a new photo every day. I can't bring myself to search my archive of photos to find one that fits...so I needed to find something blue. 

I disturbed my partner by turning on the light and searching the surroundings from my bed. Thankfully I found the highlighter because the only other thing that I had was the blue plastic bin next to my bed. Don't get me wrong, I would've taken that...a highlighter is barely a step up.

L is for Leaves

Today was 'Leaves' but this was a difficult photo to take. I was walking my two very excited dogs and they didn't seem to understand my desire to take a photo instead of chasing the other dogs, ducks, bicycles, scooters...well anything that moved really. 

C is for Circle

Today's inspiration for Photo a Day is 'circle'. It was a little strange walking around the fruit and vegetables aisles looking for something to take a photo of. I pretended to be looking at the mushrooms and picking the best ones. Of course I forgot to turn my phone to silent and people around heard the 'shutter' sound on my phone. I half laughed "I needed a circle"

Fat Mum Slim - Photo a Day

In 2013, I took a photo a day. It was my third attempt but finally I was able to make an album of 365 photos and now I need a new challenge. This is when I came across Fat Mum Slim's Photo a Day. Each month Chantelle releases a new list of inspirations for your photos. Below is for the month of January.

 The first one was "Black and white". Since the day was ending fast, I didn't get much time to be creative, so being New Years Day, we just took a selfie.
